What a warm December we had. Christmas in the low 70's. New Year's Day in the high 60's. But watch out for January. The sky is clear and sunny today. Tonight is supposed to get down near freezing.

January 2012 Historical Spirits Tour

The history of Cedar Key includes fascinating stories about spirits and ghosts who are said to haunt some of the oldest buildings in town. The Island Hotel has been studied by people who specialize in that sort of thing. The building where Tony's Seafood Restaurant is located has a history of sitings.

February 18 - 24, 2012 (Saturday - Friday). Cedar Key Star Party

Cedar Key is one of the few places dark enough for stargazing. Amateur astronomers have been coming for several years as part of a public education program. Most activities are held at the Cedar Key Museum State Park at 12231 SW 166th Court.
